Rove Beetle 2 - Paederus
Husum, Klickitat County, Washington, USA
March 3, 2016
Size: 4mm.
This tiny beetle was found on top of a wet, white-ash (Formica Fusca Group) ant mound (see image #1025999) moving rapidly. This is the first insect I have found associated with these ant mounds located in a wetland/prairie remnant.

Shapes, proportions, colors and textures
I think that the long, oval shaped pronotum rules out most of that subtribe, but I'm just guessing. (image matching)
