This animal was found inside a curled citrus leaf. The citrus tree was growing in a sandy scrub. This creature is very flattened dorso-ventrally. I'm including a photo for each of these flat sides. Does anyone know what this might be?

Identification
Following the submission to BugGuide.net, I submitted these photographs to Dr. Mark Deyrup. Senior Research Biolobist at Archbold Biological Station in Venice, Florida. On March 16, 2016, he identified the structure inside as the pupa of a parasitic wasp. He thought the host might be a mealybug, whose thread-like mouthparts are at the lower end of the photo.
