 Hodges#6462 - Stenoporpia dissonaria

Hodges#6462 - Stenoporpia dissonaria
Campwood, Edwards County, Texas, USA
September 10, 2015
Size: apx. 24mm WS
A pretty worn specimen but placed by BOLD in BIN BIOUG26825-F04 where the only other species was collected in Arizona and Ed Knudson had collected one of these. It had a 100% match and can be seen in the public database at TXLEP148-15

Stenoporpia dissonaria
This is in BOLD:ACI0974 which Jim Vargo and I believe is the BIN for dissonaria based on the appearance of the spread specimens and your dissected TXLEP569-18. There is only one barcorded specimen identified as dissonaria, LNAUU969-15, a USNM specimen collected by Blanchard and identified by Rindge. It is only 307bp but it's a 100% match to your TXLEP569-18!

.
Very interesting. Should I send this email to BOLD and rename my specimens?

How nice to have a dissection establish something new!

sure
Go ahead.
