I think octomaculata is corre
I think octomaculata is correct, the more elliptic and smaller yellow patches are actually in octomaculata not wittfeldii. I had it backwards

Miss. state has a record from
Miss. state has a record from east Louisiana and the description says wittfeldii has more elliptic and narrower yellow spots.

Our notes limit Wittfeld's to Ga and peninsular Florida
Might this be octomaculata? Here's a similar one from Alabama

 
A. wittfeldii is not out of the question, but you're right
A. octomaculata is much more likely.
