Oecanthus M with pink on top of head - Oecanthus - male

Oecanthus M with pink on top of head - Oecanthus - Male
6 miles NW Lyons, Boulder County, Colorado, USA
September 26, 2014
Size: 15.5 mm to wing tip
This handsome green male Oecanthus has pink only on the top of the head. Taken in the CO foothills at about 6400' elevation. Possibly Oecanthus fultoni or niveus? Any help with this identification is most appreciated.

This will probably have to stay in rileyi group...
One cannot say with 100% certainty that O. rileyi has not migrated into Colorado, and thus cannot be ruled out as an ID for this photo.

The stronger suspect is O. fultoni.

These two species look exactly alike from the top - including the extent of orange on the head.

Beautiful photo!
