Asilid with 4 white bands on hand - Cyrtopogon - female

Asilid with 4 white bands on hand - Cyrtopogon - Female
Rocky Mountain National Park, Larimer County, Colorado, USA
July 7, 1998
Size: BL ~ 16 mm
This robber fly with four white integumental bands on the abdomen looks quite similar to #432060, an Heteropogon taken in Estes Park in July, except that my robber fly is much blacker. This robber fly was photographed in Black Canyon Trail, RMNP, just north of Estes Park at about 7700' elevation. I am also going to post another asilid taken 14 miles south of Estes Park that is more like the coloration of the Estes Park Heteropogon. Any help is much appreciated.

Cyrtopogon
This is a female Cyrtopogon, the "Heteropogon" on the other page (#432060) looks like it was misidentified.

Cyrtopogon female
Thanks so much for your identification of these robber flies to genus. It is so much appreciated.
