Carpet Beetle - Anthrenus verbasci

Carpet Beetle - Anthrenus verbasci
Springfield, Virginia, USA
February 25, 2005
Size: ~2mm
Just found this small carpet beetle crawling over a stack of papers near my computer and decided to take a quick photo of it.

Moved from carpet beetles.

Wow, that turned out pretty good, better than my attempt. What did you use to shoot it?

I used a Nikon D70 (dSLR) with a 105mm macro lens (set on manual focus) on a 36mm extension tube and a 2X teleconverter. Light was provided by an electronic flash, though it wasn't as even as I would have liked. The image was then cropped and resized smaller.
