Papilio rumiko and lemon tree - Papilio rumiko

Papilio rumiko and lemon tree - Papilio rumiko
Maricopa County, Arizona, USA
March 20, 2016
I try to send some messages by using this not so clear image. One information is that it showed more yellow color.
First sighted on March 11, they were looking for the nectar from citrus trees. Unfortunately all the folowers were gone by now due to the warm weather this year. I was wondering about how it will affect their life?
It seems to me that the skin color of their caterpillars may be changed according to the need of less or more of the sunlight. It then affects the color of these butterflies.
