Solenopsis invicta? - Solenopsis invicta

I'm a bit of a novice at ant identification. What are the best clues for identifying Solenopsis invicta in the field?

Some ID characters
Two-segmented petiole (the waist), polymorphic workers (different sizes), two-segmented antennal club, and of course, a painful sting. I'm only familiar with the species of home-infesting ants, but these appear to be Solenopsis invicta.

Thanks!
Very helpful.
