Pelochrista (Eucosma) floridensis- 3132.6 - Pelochrista floridensis

Pelochrista (Eucosma) floridensis- 3132.6 - Pelochrista floridensis
Hobe Sound, Martin County, Florida, USA
January 2, 2016
Size: 8 mm
New moth species for BugGuide- needs a Guide page. I believe this is Pelochrista (Eucosma) floridensis- 3132.6. It matches the MPG images and fits the description and geography. According to (1), floridensis appears to be the only member of the pulveratana group that has been recorded from Florida. A previous moth post here suggests floridensis, but because of geography, is probably best labeled “pulveratana group" for now.

Gary, after making the guide page, I think you're correct. Your specimen matches description.
