Roger you nailed it. sh11 lives within 15 miles of me and although only around the 13th instars this fits my local M pulchellum that Jeff helped me with in 2013.

Heptageniidae
I believe this female imago to be of family Heptageniidae.

 
As always, I really appreciate your help Roger-
just to clarify though- are all THREE of the specimens that I posted to Bugguide yesterday female heptageniid imagos...I ask because I had thought that this particular specimen was an immature. Sorry if I seem confused- I'm finding the mayflies a particularly difficult group. Thank you once again.

meant to say, "I believe this early instar nymph to be of family Heptageniidae, and probably (but not necessarily) of genus Maccaffertium."
