Oblique-banded Leafroller Moth - Choristoneura rosaceana

Oblique-banded Leafroller Moth - Choristoneura rosaceana
Amherst, Massachusetts, USA
June 9, 2004
I had different shots of several individuals, all photographed during the day. Browsing through "Peterson's Field Guide to Eastern Moths" (1), it looks to perhaps be Pandemis limitata, but I'm not sure...

Oblique-banded Leafroller
To my eye, at least, this is 3635 - Choristoneura rosaceana. But I still have some way to go to work out the variations in this group of leafrollers and differences between similar species. Beautiful photo, Tony.

I think you are right...
Looking through "Peterson's Field Guide to Eastern Moths" (1), I can see a pretty close match to the wing pattern, and it being a tad larger seems right on with my memory of this critter.
