whoops!
I was way off.

Lutelous looks nothing like this lol

I failed haha.

I uploaded an actual luteolus that i mistook for ammonastes.

Adult Male Paruroctonus luteolus!
I visited your Flickr page for a higher res image showing the chela much more clearly, Alice!

By comparing the chela of this male to the drawings in the publication noted below, I'm able to say without a doubt that this scorpion is Paruroctonus luteolus.

Haradon, R. M.1984. new and redefined species belonging to the Paruroctonus borregoensis group (Scorpiones,Vaejovidae).J. Arachnol., 12:317-339.

I forget only editors have access to the larger images on bugguide: http://bugguide.net/images/raw/HZP/LFL/HZPLFLBLIZTLXZDLPRSH7RYZMRTZIR3ZRZCZHZWLIZCLQZCL4R0HMZDLKZOLZZWL7R3Z2R0HSZDLHZ6L.jpg, but that's also the reason I do upload and make accessible the original resolution on flickr. Thanks again!
