Gryllus fultoni - female

Gryllus fultoni - Female
Eatonton, Lake Sinclair Recreation Area, Putnam County, Georgia, USA
March 27, 2016
Found several of these in leaf litter in woods. I know there are a few forest-inhabiting Gryllus in this area, will try to narrow down later...

Moved tentatively
As far as I can tell, no other Gryllus in this part of Georgia would be active as nearly mature nymphs in March in deciduous woodland. Every other species in range either matures in late summer or lives in open field habitats.

I had collected several nymphs (male and female) here, hoping to rear them up so I could hear the males sing, but unfortunately none of them matured for some reason

Moved from Field Crickets.
