Treehopper - Ceresa? - Stictocephala brevitylus

Treehopper - Ceresa? - Stictocephala brevitylus
Doddridge County, West Virginia, USA
June 23, 2007
Inset view from above shows the horns. Is the ID correct, if so is it possible to ID to species?
Host plant is a Rose bush.

Thanks!

Moved from Stictocephala.

Ceresa taurina
Smaller "horns" than in the buffalo treehopper (C. alta) but otherwise similar. The reddist tips are just a color variety.

Thank you for the ID!
I'm glad the poor quality inset helped to identify this.

Moved to the guide to represent WV in the data bank.
