On poison ivy - Graphocephala
Harms Woods Forest Preserve, Glenview, Cook County, Illinois, USA

Size: ~6mm
Found this hopper resting on a poison ivy leaf on the edge of a swale through an oak woodland. Thought it might be different since it was on poison ivy, Rhus radicans.

Graphocephala
This specimen is unusually and extensively blue, and possibly smaller than the species usually found in IL (minimum size 6.6 mm) so I won't say right away that it is G. coccinea just resting there. You would have to see some more to be sure. Happy (and careful) hunting!
