Size: 40mm?
Two stripes on the thorax and a couple of protuberances before the forewings. Looks similar to a mantled or common baskettail?

So it is a female blue corporal? Looks right in comparing to others on bugguide. Worth chasing around to get a picture after all! Now I need to look for a male.
