I did not get a picture of this one on the sheet - I had left the card out of my camera.

I feel pretty sure of the ID after finding specimen the BOLD specimen CNCLEP00116063 here.

Since it requires a new species page, I would like confirmation before creating one.

OK for now
Tripudia goyanensis is a member of the Tripudia flavofasciata complex which includes three described species and several undescribed species from north of Mexico. All IDs should be considered tentative in this complex.

This matches goyanensis in USNM series from southern TX but it is a little different from the original description which and figure. Don Lafontaine sent me a photo of the type kept in the BMNH which likewise matches the original description. The type is from Argentina. Don believes this must be an error. See the Info page for original description and plates.

Since this matches the USNM specimens and those are being treated as goyanensis, I'm guessing we should stick with that but it would not surprise me if this changed.

Interesting, Steve. Thanks. I sent it to BOLD, but unfortunately included it as a donation because I did not have room in my microplate. Those have not been processed yet.

MPG
I'm adding these as tentative ID to MPG. I don't know for sure that it's goyanensis but I am pretty confident it's in the complex and not one of the other two described species.

Moved from ID Request.

Yes, this looks like goyanensis
I've never seen this species before, but I would agree that it is an example of Tripudia goyanensis.

Many,many thanks Kyhl.

nice find!
I am not familiar with this genus, but maybe someone else here will comment. Good luck!
