green scarab - Euphoria fulgida

Size: ~1.5 cm
I found this beetle copulating with another scarab that less green and more dull in appearance. I found them on the rocky ground, but I think I actually knocked them off the branch of some bush as I threw myself back away from a large angry rattler. Those details are fuzzy but at least I thought to collect them even after having narrowly escaped death. =P
