I'm sure you're correct. It was about 15mm or a bit over 1/2", and A schlaegeri are larger than that.

 
Size
15mm would be on the larger size (the ones I've found have been 8-12mm) but probably still within range. However, I think A. schlaegeri can be that small so I can't be sure. I spent a lot of time looking at these species to identify my own specimens and it appears that coloration isn't a sure way to ID these. As for size, 15mm is I think about where they overlap (in length, not wingspan.)
