insect photography exhibit at Oxford University Museum of Natural History

The photographs for the exhibit were taken by Levon Bliss using a microscope objective on a DSLR – 8,000 to 10,000 frames per insect so the resolution is phenomenal.
This site has a movie showing how the photos are made plus zoomable images of selected insects.
