Wolf Spider, frontal - Trochosa terricola - female

Wolf Spider, frontal - Trochosa terricola - Female
100 Acre Wood, Winneshiek County, Iowa, USA
April 23, 2016
Readying the garden to plant, I found a spider egg sack. How neatly it was made, like a little pillow with all the edges tucked in.
I didn't have much hope as to finding the mother but there she was. I set the egg sack near her, she picked it up, took a while to adjust or secure it, then hurried off.
