Possibly flavicollis?
It's got a lot of yellow pile on the thorax, and the scutellum has long yellow hairs, which would be pretty unusual for Laphria canis, or any of the small canis complex. My opinion is that this is a worn L. flavicollis. They can look pretty ratty later in the season.

Indeed
Male canis. How large was that other male from NJ from today?

The other one
was probably a mm or 2 larger than this one.
