At first I thought this was a spider wasp but after going through the images I don't know. The wasp that came closest was Prionyx. Do you have any suggestions for what to look for when I'm taking a photo of these kinds of wasps? It was on the ground moving in fast spurts from one spot to another. Then it would fly off and return to the same spot.
