Identification
Extremely similar to the Polixenes Arctic, but is found in open spruce bogs rather than rocky or grassy tundra
Range
Alaskan interior, eastward through the Yukon to parts of the western Northwest Territories, and locally in northern British Columbia
Remarks
Most easily separated from the more widespread O. polixenes by habitat
This species [
Oeneis rosovi] is excluded by Pelham (2008) as extralimital with a note suggesting that it could be a synonym of
Oeneis philipi Troubridge, 1988.
