Xanthorhoe fossaria (T) -
Xanthorhoe
Stevenson, Skamania County, Washington, USA
June 12, 2007
Attracted to lights. Looks somewhat like a worn Epirrhoe alternata, but not quite. Not sure of ID.

Xanthorhoe sp.
This looks like
Xanthorhoe fossaria
to me. However, there are a couple more very similar species -
pontiaria
&
iduata
- that you can view along with
fossaria
on this
CBIF page
. Although I haven't checked yet, I'm not sure
iduata
is in your area. Do you know what the size was on this specimen? It seems
fossaria
may be the larger of the two, which would help to confirm the ID.
