Size: about 7mm
Thanks to Dr Gerald Fauske for an ID on this species. A search on the web for the species name showed a couple of sites that gave it the common name of 3-spotted Crambid. I would have preferred two-banded, but I guess the two bands divide the white stripe into 3 spots.

from Crambinae to new species page. I agree with "two-banded" as part of the common name. "Three-spotted Crambus" was apparently coined by Jason Dombroskie of Pembroke Area Field Naturalists (see PDF doc), and copied for use on the Moth Photographers Group site; there are no other references to it on the web. This species is neither spotted nor in the genus Crambus, so I made up a more appropriate name.
