Leaf roll
Almost looks like the leaf roll in your photo was made from an oak leaf rather than a Conium leaf? But that seems unlikely, given how relatively tough Quercus agrifolia leaves are (and that the caterpillars of this species are monophagous on Conium maculatum.)

At any rate, a very similar leaf roll (likewise chewed-off at the end) appears here.
