Identification
Rather small for a Snaketail. Has no, or very reduced dark stripes on side of thorax. Male has blueish eyes.
Range
Maryland (just into Pennsylvania) south through Appalachians and upper Piedmont to Georgia, Alabama.
Habitat
Clear streams with sand or gravel bottoms
