Exoskeleton of Aquatic Larvae - Aphylla williamsoni

Exoskeleton of Aquatic Larvae - Aphylla williamsoni
Land O' Lakes, Pasco County, Florida, USA
May 8, 2016
I found this exoskeleton floating along the water's edge in a lake. It is a 250 acre lake, spring fed, with a sandy bottom and tea colored water.

Moved
Moved from Forceptails. I think this one can safely be called A. williamsonia by its location, as neither of the other two US species have yet been recorded anywhere near Florida.

Moved from ID Request.

Wow!
