Pseudopolydesmus paludicolus - female

Pseudopolydesmus paludicolus - Female
Greensville County, Virginia, USA
May 11, 2016
Size: 12 mm
A rarely-encountered species, I found five individuals by checking the contents of a mossy log and leaf litter near it. This species tended not to curl up after being uncovered, and is easy to miss. Much darker than other species in the genus. This is a female, as can be seen by her exuded cyphopods.
