False Click Beetle - Isorhipis nubila - Male
Mobile (Dog River), Mobile County, Alabama, USA
May 15, 2016
Size: ~4mm
I do not recognize this clicker, particularly the antennae part.
UPDATE: Adds new species for Alabama

The eucnemid is....
actually Isorhipis nubila (Bonvouloir) instead. Antennae and legs are slightly teneral, but they'll darken a bit.

Moved
Moved from Isorhipis obliqua.

Moved tentatively to Isorhipis obliqua
Moved from False Click Beetles.

While not bicolored, antennomeres, punctate elytra, and size match.

I dunno...
this species-level det does not sit well with me for some reason.

Same here ...
I can even see a small grove at the base of the pronotum, but there is not even a hint of the bicolored characteristic. I messaged Robert Otto yesterday, to look at it.

Moved to False Click Beetles
Moved from Beetles.
Thanks, John
