It has been two months since I saw another Alypia. what species is this one?

. I suppose Alypia wittfeldii could be possible (MPG does have one record from southern LA) but highly unlikely. Looking at the images of this species on BugGuide it seems they generally have a whitish sheen between the white areas of the FW, which doesn't appear to be present hear. The shapes of the white patches are hard to make out because of the angle so since I don't see any evidence to doubt an ID of A. octomaculata.
