Female in the L. sericea complex; thanks for the info.
(And while I've heard asilid bites can hurt, I've never been bitten in more than 7 years of working with them. Go figure. :-))

Brave
Wow! You are pretty brave holding a robber with your bare hands. I'd hate to feel the result of a puncture. Very painful I've heard. Maybe this guy is too small.
