Lake Monticello, Fluvanna County, Virginia, USA
April 17, 2016
Size: less than 1/2 inch
We were transplanting some flowers from a pot to another and while digging came up with this little guy. Any idea what he's going to become? I put him back in the ground.

Moved from Cicadas.

Moved from ID Request.

It will become a Cicada once fully grown

It will look similar to this: (Not a species ID)

Oh my! Cicadia
We had tons of them a couple years back and picked up cut twigs with leaves for two years after. Oh well .... they are quite amazing to watch emerging. Thank you so much! Donna
