all mines empty, and pillowlike, with loose dry frass. The one exception is an apparently incomplete mine with a dead larva. collection 1223

Fenusella populifoliella
, but maybe another
Fenusella
species; OK would be a range extension no matter what it is. These come around just once a year, so you'll have to look earlier next spring!
