Black Chilocorus - Chilocorus nigrita

Black Chilocorus - Chilocorus nigrita
Long Key Nature Center, Davie, Broward County, Florida, USA
April 20, 2016
This busy little guy was one of two ladybugs cleaning pests off some Spartina grass along the shore of the lake in front of the nature center. He didn't stay still long enough for any decent photos.

Moved
Moved from Lady Beetles. Thanks James!

Chilocorus nigrita
Most of them don't have this blue tint.

It is thought to originate from India or Asia, but it now occurs in several tropical regions across the world.

Coccinellidae
Moved from Beetles. I suppose it's Curinus coeruleus, but I don't see any other images with such a pale head, so I'm not sure.
