Synolabus nigripes

Synolabus nigripes
Long Key Nature Center, Davie, Broward County, Florida, USA
May 8, 2016
Found in a crevice on the exterior of the nature center. Not a very cooperative subject, so this was the best shot I got.

Moved tentatively

Is this a female?
Neck doesn't seem to be very long so that's my guess. But tibiae seem to be straight like female Homoeolabus analis.

Moved, Synolabus nigripes or Homoeolabis analis
Moved from Beetles.

Does S. nigripes feed on anything other than sumac?
If not, then it has to be H. analis. This area is a hardwood hammock, predominantly southern live oak (Quercus viginiana). I have seen the rolled leaves on the ground, but assumed they were coming from either the sugarberry (Celtis laevigata) or the elderberry (Sambucus nigra canadensis).

S. nigripes hosts
Kaufman's Field Guide to Insects of NA says poison ivy is also a host.
