Moved
Moved from Chauliognathus.

Moving these oddball Chaulio's back to genus level...

Thanks Blaine
Should I collect some for direct observation? These were on Dogbane flowers.

Moved, Chauliognathus pensylvanicus
Moved from ID Request.

Goldenrod Soldier Beetles
Hey, you filmed this species before. This is the first entry for the month of may!
Chauliognathus pensylvanicus: The spots on the pronotum aren't as wide as most of the others and the spots on the elytra are shorter too. (variables?)

Thanks Bob for ID.
Although markings are distinctive, I thought that this was a autumn season beetle so uncertain of ID.
