Size: small
This was very small, the white spot on its back is a grain of sand. I think it is a moth but I didn't see anything like it in my guide books.

Looks similar...
Thank you! It looks very similar to Pyromorpha dimidiata, but this one has significantly less orange. I browsed similar creatures and it looks most similar to Pyromorpha caelebe. Pyromorpha caelebe information is quite limited and the only pictures of it are from Texas. Unfortunately, I only have this one picture of it so I can't look at other pictures for additional clues.
