Texas SE Gulf Coast - Cyclophora myrtaria - Female
Lake Jackson, Brazoria County, Texas, USA
May 18, 2016
Size: ~30mm wingspan
Adds the species for Texas on BugGuide.

ID based on: larger than C. packardi (30mm vs max 25mm), indistinct AM line, small discal spots, dark spot on each abdominal segment (all MPG and BOLD images show these while C. packardi appears to lack them...just my observation FWIW).

MPG shows this taxon in SE Texas and it appears on the 2015 Texas Lep Survey Checklist.

Disagreement/discussion appreciated.

Nice addition. I have him in 2013 and 2014 but was using my old camera. I haven't posted any of those older photos now that I use this new camera. Although low quality, I should get around to posting those one day when I have them for new months.

Thanks Stuart
Good to hear you've had these as well and that you agree!
