Tiny Black Mystery, possibly related to micrathena - Cyclosa

Tiny Black Mystery, possibly related to micrathena - Cyclosa
Preston, Maryland, USA
May 20, 2016
Size: 1cm
It looks like a micrathena with no spines. The abdomen is pear shaped or bowling pin shaped. Real small, 1cm

Moved to genus for now
Moved from Orb Weavers.

Moved
Moved from ID Request. Any clearer images? Was the spider all black?

Shaped like Cyclosa conica

Closest so far but the abdome
Closest so far but the abdomen isn't swollen as much near the carapace and seems to be a little more elongated.

Rare you think?
