orbweaver spider - Eustala anastera - Female
Hobbs Conservation Area, Carroll County, Iowa, USA

Size: ~8mm long
found at hub of orb web with prey. The web was strung among dead sumacs in an oak savannah habitat. It was 6 to 7 inches in diameter and about 18" off the ground. Could this spider be Eustala anastera? or similar species?
