Unidentified Lacewing ? - Nothochrysa californica - Female
Bellevue, King County, Washington, USA
May 22, 2016
On salal leaf (Gaultheria shallon). Did not realize until seeing pictures that she was apparently laying eggs. Don't know if the species prefers certain plant leaves over others... would be interesting to know.

Thanks Ken!

You were so darn fast! Thanks!! I only wish I were better able to identify some of these guys.

This is such a wonderful resource, and not intending this as any type of complaint. Do you know if any plans are afoot to update the interface, to allow dropping of images, reuse of location data, etc.

I am very thankful this is available. Just need something rather similar for plants. ;-)

Regarding updates...
We are all eagerly awaiting BugGuide 2.0. Many enhancements are anticipated--but the release date is as yet uncertain.

BG2
Awesome... I'll look for the BG2 rumors pages out there with all the others! ;-)

Can't complain frankly... no adds, and help, sometimes sooner, sometimes later, but without cost, and often with additional information. Win-win tool.

I would guess many are chanting for a common database for species info, given we have these disparate sources by the dozens, with sightings and specific observational data, as well as formal local, regional and national surveys. Sometimes putting things together makes sense, and sometimes it becomes a mess.

Thanks for insight.
