Walshia

There are currently 8 accepted species in Walshia. Per Hodges 1961 and 1978 species in Walshia are identified by gentalia. BOLD data is currently of little help. There are 11 BINs many of which are not closely related under Walshia miscecolorella. According to JF Landry, there is a lot of errors which will eventually be cleaned up. He mentions that he just reviewed this genus and has found that there are additional undescribed species. I'm not even sure host plant is useful since it is unknown for most species. I think we may eventually be able to identify examples from photos. Hodges gives some clues on visual identification and we clearly have several species currently placed in W. miscecolorella. But for now there is no way to tell which actually should be placed there.

I'm moving everything to genus including those with BOLD IDs unless there are objections.

OK
I just placed a submission to the genus level and I noticed that the links to the BOLD bins don't work anymore.
The latest BOLD website update seems to have destroyed all of the links to the 12 bins on the info page for Walshia miscecolorella.
This might apply to all links to any BOLD bins, but I haven't checked out other things yet. Sorry to report this headache!

yep
all links to BINs are toast. I fixed those on the Walshia genus page. I'll let BOLD know.
