Robberfly with prey - Laphria janus

Robberfly with prey - Laphria janus
Tamarac National Wildlife Refuge, Becker County, Minnesota, USA
May 24, 2016
This little back stabber settled on the leaf of a small plant in the Indian trail at Tamarac and proceeded to eat his/her prey and didn't seem to be bothered by my flash going off a few inches away. Wondering what kind of Robber fly this is as well as what kind of beetle?
