Moved, Chrysomela sp.
please only post accurately measured sizes in the 'size' field. Thanks

Moved from ID Request.

Leaf beetle?
Chrysomela seem to be leaf-eating beetles - are they not considered lady beetles? I have searched around but cannot get a definitive answer. Also, I plan to post the pic on The Panda's Thumb; may I acknowledge you for the identification? TYVM! Matt

Chrysomela are indeed Leaf Beetles and not
Lady Beetles. I think this may be Chrysomela interrupta. Identifiers on BG are trying to help the public to know more about insects. If you wish to spread our identifications to other platforms, feel free. But we sometimes later correct an id. Make sure to pass that on as well if it happens

OK. Many thanks for the ID!
