Clearwing Moth - Hemaris diffinis

Clearwing Moth - Hemaris diffinis
Fort Bragg, Cumberland County, North Carolina, USA
June 19, 2004
Hummingbird Clearwing? A little too worn for me to guess.

Snowberry Clearwing
Hemaris gracilis. The longish clear cell in the basal area along the costa is differently shaped and edged in H. thysbe. Nice detail of wing venation in a hovering photo.
