Brown Hairy Moth? - Malacosoma americana

Brown Hairy Moth? - Malacosoma americana
Bullitt County, Kentucky, USA
June 1, 2016
Size: 20mm?
Attracted to the light. Raised it's wings perhaps in response to a perceived threat from bug in picture. Possibly a sphinx?

Moved, Malacosoma americana
Moved from ID Request. Look for M. disstria in the coming weeks, which looks similar but with dark rather than light lines. These moths can be extremely abundant this time of year. Where I am most of the caterpillars are still feeding but some have pupated.
