Eulithis - Antepirrhoe semiatrata

Eulithis - Antepirrhoe semiatrata
Damascus, Clackamas County, Oregon, USA
May 16, 2016
I think this one is either Eulithis xylina or destinata. From what I've read, I think the two are inseparable without a genetics lab handy.

Thanks,
Phil

Think it's more like Antepirrhoe semiatrata
Don't think it's Eulithis xylina - it's PM line is much smoother and the ones I've seen are much more brown. Agree looks like some photos of Eulithis destinata, although again the ones I've seen in BC are also more of a reddish brown.

Yours also has double spots in the terminal line which I've seen in A. semiatrata but not in Eulithis; however that's just my personal observation - no idea if it's a defininitive characteristic!

Maybe move to tribe for now & see if anyone else can take it further?

Antepirrhoe
Here it is:

This one is a lot darker than the first one.

Eulithis/Antepirrhoe
Interesting! I moved the picture to tribe.

I thought I just saw an Antepirrhoe semiatrata last night, but I wasn't sure it wasn't a Eulithis. I've already used up my three uploads per day limit for ID Request, so I'll put a picture of it in Lepidoptera.
